The IP44 band is complete with a seal of expanded rubber resistant to atmospheric and chemical agents and to temperatures from -45°C to +120°C. It is to be click-mounted on every joint, but previously it is necessary to mount splice plates for width against only “male-male” end joints. In case of IP40 cable trays already in use, it is possible to increase the protection degree up to IP44 just adding the protective bands and adhesive seals.
